2009 Haunted Structures Lab at BYU

This year's Haunted Laboratory was a huge success. We did it in the structures lab again, which worked out nicely. We started setting up on Tuesday, October 27. Set-up was all day Tuesday and all day Thursday. I had a lot of help on both those days. At any given time, there were up to 10 people helping me. It counted as ASCE service point, so there was plenty of incentive for other students to help. We were open on Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31 from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. The first half of Friday night was a little slow - we hardly had a line at all, but as the night progressed, the line got longer. We had a pretty constant line Saturday night too, but we were able to keep the wait down to about half an hour, much better than last year. For the last couple hours of Saturday night we were short on volunteers, so I recruited people from the line to come help. That worked out quite nicely.
